He is considered an expert in sustainable capital investments and has a proven track record as a successful entrepreneur in the fields of philanthropy and impact investing.

Determined to ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and successfully for positive change, Rickert has also worked for McKinsey, the Bertelsmann Foundation and the World Bank, among others.

Dr. Rainer Grünig, CEO of Plenum Investments Ltd., said: “I am convinced that together with Dr. Andreas Rickert, we can extend our status as an ESG pioneer in the CAT Bonds sector to include the theme of social impact, which will unlock crucial innovation potential.

Dr Rickert said: “I look forward to making a significant contribution to the future development of Plenum Investments Ltd. in the field of impact investing.

“I am convinced that natural disaster activity is another key element that not only helps to manage the effects of climate change, but also those of earthquakes.”

Rickert added: “Institutional investors have a great need when it comes to investing in high social impact investments.

“New product concepts and a standard of good practice focused on social impact aim to remedy this. By insuring against the risks of natural disasters and providing the necessary coverage capacities, we all assume a great social and above all global responsibility.
